Nothing better than spending a Sunday night outside in Grey Bruce listening to some great music.
Brockton is celebrating its first annual summer concert series starting tonight at the Walkerton Heritage Water Gardens.
Lynne Davidson — Brockton’s Recreation and Wellness Programmer — says the idea came to the surface during the Olympic torch relay back in December.
She says when the town was gathered by the gardens officials started thinking about how great it was to see the town outside celebrating and thought of the concert series to keep the momentum going.
Davidson says they have three bands lined up for the summer starting with Late Nite Radio tonight.
The second concert will be held July 25th featuring the Howlin Dog Vintage Jazz Band and finally on August 29th Double Take will headline.
All concerts start at 7 PM and run until 8:30 PM.
Davidson says the concerts are free but donations will be accepted at the event.
