It will be a dog day morning at Fairy Lake in Southampton.
The path around the lake will be hosting its first Doggie Walk-a-thon, raising money for the SPCA of Bruce and Grey.
Walk organizer Jen O’Reilly says registration begins at 10 AM Sunday, followed by two walks around the lake and some refreshments and prizes.
O’Reilly says the annual walk usually takes place in Owen Sound around this time of year and she was going to register.
However officials in Owen Sound said the event was going to be cancelled because of a lack of volunteers.
She offered to continue the walk in Southampton and SPCA officials agreed.
O’Reilly says she doesn’t have a fundraising goal but she reminds everyone that the money raised will go to continue the work of the SPCA out of Owen Sound.
