As each new proposal for a wind turbine farm pops up, it seems more opposition springs up as well.
A public information meeting will take place at Kincardine’s Davidson Centre tonight.
Organizer Patti Hutton says she’s become involved because her property is surrounded by the 115 turbine Enbridge project.
She says the noise from the turbines is apparent, but so far her health hasn’t been affected.
But she adds her neighbours are feeling effects to their health.
Hutton says with so many proposals coming forth to put up more wind farms, a public information session has been organized with guest speakers.
She says victims of the farms will be speaking about the effects its had on their lives.
And local councils have been getting on board. Saugeen Shores is the most recent council to look at a by-law which would put a stop to further development.
Hutton believes that the longer wind farms have been up, the more councils are taking a step back and saying, “let’s slow down.”
She says more analysis needs to be done beforehand, instead of dealing with the consequences later.
The public meeting is scheduled 6 PM at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
