Residents at Sauble Beach and in the former Amabel Township are losing their water.
The Ontario Clean Water Agency has scheduled a temporary water shut off that begins today and continues tomorrow and Friday.
Officials say it’s necessary for their watermain swabbing maintenance program.
Residents are asked to turn off the main water valve in their homes from 9 AM to 4 PM for the next three days.
If you have an electric water heater — make sure it’s turned off. And also make sure the tank is full when you turn on the breaker again.
Once you turn the water on — you may see water discoloration.
So officials say you should run the tap closest to the main shutoff to flush the lines and run an empty load through your washing machine and dishwasher.
