Queens Park has announced 200 more schools that will offer all day kindergarten, beginning in September of 2011.
That is in addition to the 600 schools that will offer the program in the fall of this year.
For parents in the Bruce Grey Catholic School System — it means St. Basil’s School in Owen Sound will have all day kindergarten in the fall of 2011.
However, Superintendant of Education Cathy Montreuil says there is a twist.
The province is only funding one of the five classes at St. Basil’s with the board picking up the rest.
Montreuil says three of the 10 schools in the Catholic board will have the program by September of 2011.
This fall, Holy Family School in Hanover and Sacred Heart in Mildmay will offer all day kindergarten.
The board is picking up the cost of the program at the Mildmay school.
For parents of kids in the Bluewater board — there are 9 schools that offer the program in September of this year.

As for Bluewater schools — Sydenham Community in Owen Sound and Hillcrest Central in Teeswater will offer all day learning in 2011.
