More money has been made available to help stop domestic violence in Grey County.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation is giving 60 thousand dollars to the Grey County Children’s Aid Society for its Men’s Program.
The funding will cover the cost of a 19 week program that will focus on changing the attitudes and behaviours of men who abuse their partners.
The Ministry of the Attorney General funds a program that supports men who are referred by the court.
But this program will help men who need help before acting out.
The Men’s Program works closely with numerous health and community services in Grey Bruce — including women’s shelters and mental health groups.
