The Kincardine Summer Music Festival is 20 thousand dollars richer, thanks to a federal grant through the Arts Presentation Canada program.
Huron Bruce MP Ben Lobb announced the funding through the Department of Canadian Heritage.
Lobb says this is value for taxpayer’s dollars.
Lobb says the hope is the money will help bring in world class musicians to the festival and thus increase tourism as well.
He says people will come to see these performers and they’ll spend tourism dollars in Bruce and Huron counties.
The Kincardine Summer Music Festival concert series combines with 20 music education programs over two weeks to produce unique musical opportunities.
The Festival runs from August 1st to the 14th.
