The 22nd annual Rotary Huron Shore Run a huge success.
Hundreds of people raised thousands for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Hundreds were running or walking; a handful did the 10K bike run; and a few were on in-line skates.
Together on Saturday, over 29 thousand dollars was raised — beating last year’s tally of 25 thousand.
Many participants raised pledges well into the hundreds but the big winner was once again, Shawn Thompson of Southampton who raised just over three thousand dollars for the event.
Thompson is the perennial top fundraiser.
All the money raised is split between Rotary projects, the running club and the hospital foundation.
