According to health officials the use of non-prescribed drugs, coupled with the use of prescription medicines is a rapidly growing problem in Bruce and Grey counties.
Today’s forum will feature a pharmacist from Southampton, along with a colleague from Grey Bruce Health Services.
In addition, the President and CEO of Grey Bruce Health Services Maureen Solecki will present an update on Saugeen Memorial Hospital in Southampton.
As you’ve heard on Bayshore Broadcasting News before, the hospital is living on borrowed time when it comes to 24-hour service in ER.
And another deadline is quickly approaching where a decision will have to be made.
The free public forum is open to everyone.
It runs from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Bruce Power Theatre in the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre.
The forum is organized by the Community Advisory Committee for Grey Bruce Health Services in Southampton.
