Not much of a story to tell yet as Owen Sound releases its building stats for January.
Development Co-ordinator Sandi Parks says 13 permits were issued with a construction value of 178 thousand dollars compared to almost 223 thousand in January of last year.
While the dollar value is down slightly — Parks says it should be noted there was a permit issued for a new home — something they rarely see at the start of the new year.
She says with spring looming — she’s expects things to pick up quickly.
Parks is also expecting to have the building permit application for the new regional rec centre on her desk shortly.
