A farmer from Clearview Township has been voted the head of the Ontario Cattlemen’s Association.
Curtis Royal farms beef cattle just outside of Creemore.
He was elected president at a weekend meeting of over 500 beef farmers and industry representatives at the OCA’s Annual General Meeting in Toronto.
Royal says there are many factors affecting the beef industry in Ontario, and “the sooner we figure out that working together is the only way forward, the better.”
The Ontario Cattlemen’s Association represents 19 thousand beef farmers across Ontario.
