The Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station in Tiverton will be featured by David Suzuki on the “Nature of Things” tonight on TV.
It’s the focus of “My Nuclear Neighbour” on CBC.
Bruce Power Spokesperson John Peevers says it looks at the difference between a community where a power plant exists and is accepted and that of one where it’s proposed and there is concern.
Bruce Power is interested in setting up a plant near Peace River, Alberta.
Crews taped and did interviews with people like President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne in July of last year.
Peevers says they jumped at the chance to promote the good the plant does and how accepting the community is.
Peevers says the show also talks with Lorraine Jensen and Brenda McSween from their farms in Peace River, Alberta.
The show is tonight at 8 PM on CBC and replays Thursday February 18th at 10 PM on CBC News Network.
