Northern Bruce Peninsula Council will soon decide if any changes will be made to waste collection methods in the municipality.
Mayor Milt McIver says they have a dumpster collection program currently but there has been talk of switching to curbside collection and introducing user pay bag tags.
A series of public meetings were held on the proposal, McIver says the first one was well attended by residents.
He says there is opposition to idea of removing the dumpsters, but calls it a valid concern because of the bear problem in Northern Bruce Peninsula and the fact there are some remote areas of the municipality.
McIver says now that the public discussion is complete, Council is waiting for a report from Public Works staff which will contain recommendations on which option to choose.
Mayor McIver says that report is expected this month.
