The Children’s Aid Societies of Grey and Bruce counties will be amalgamated this week.
The Board of Directors has appointed Phyllis Lovell as Executive Director for the consolidated agency.
Lovell will assume responsibilities for Bruce County CAS right away, and help to support the on-going amalgamation of a regional child welfare system.
Once the two socieities have fully merged, Lovell will head up 170 staff, including child protection workers and administrative staff, with an annual 22 million dollar budget.
Lovell has been with Grey County CAS since 1980, and worked up to Executive Director.
Shaun Jolliffe, the former Executive Director at Bruce CAS will remain with the organization in a senior position.
He will help Lovell develop a transition plan to make for a seamless move.
