Eating a ham has never helped so many kids!
The Bruce Children Are Special Foundation is holding its annual Easter Ham Drive and Pepperette Fundraiser.
Spokesperson Cherie Borho says they are getting hams from a new local supplier this year, Wayne Batte’s Custom Butchering.
A three pound ham is 12 dollars, and a six pound ham is 23 dollars.
Pepperettes will still come from Heidleberg Foods in three flavours; mild, hot and extra hot.
A 50-pack is 15 dollars, or you can get 20 for eight dollars.
Borho says all of the proceeds will go to the summer camp program.
She says last year they raised 20 thousand dollars for the program, and this year they’ve raised the goal to 22 thousand dollars.
Borho says the kids they help are already within the Bruce County Children’s Aid Society’s services.
But she says the Foundation remains a separate entity from the CAS.
She says often, they come from families that struggle financially, and the foundation wants to make sure these children aren’t missing out.

Borho says orders will be ready for pick-up Monday April 11th, and in some cases they may be able to arrange delivery.
