Yet another large corporate donation is flowing to the Owen Sound Regional Rec Centre committee.
Walker-Bumstead Financial Incorporated has pledged 50 thousand dollars to the 5 million dollar local fund raising campaign.
Partners Doug Bumstead and Paul Walker announced the gift on Tuesday in memory of their late fathers Lloyd Bumstead and Gordon Walker.
Walker says “Our fathers were big supporters of their children and grandchildren in sports.”
He says this new facility will bring years of healthy fun and family time which will be great in our community.
The 30 year old Walker-Bumstead partnership provides insurance and financial advice to clients throughout the Grey Bruce region.
The 125 thousand square foot rec centre will house two NHL sized arenas, a health and fitness centre, two pools and a walking/running track.
