Meaford’s and Kincardine’s Citizens of the Year will be recognized tonight.
In Kincardine, the Chamber of Commerce is recognizing former mayor and Legion Member Donna Wilson for her volunteer work.
Wilson was chairperson of the Kincardine Legion’s fundraising board, raising nearly 170 thousand dollars for renovations.
The award will be given out during the Chamber’s Gala Awards Dinner tonight at the Best Western Governor’s Inn in Kincardine.
Meanwhile, the Meaford and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Community Awards Dinner and Presentation.
Awards will be handed out in eight categories with the highlight being the Meaford Rotary Club Citizen of the Year award.
The event goes tonight at the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre beginning at 6:30 PM.
