The Bruce Power brand will be displayed at BMO Field when Toronto FC kicks off its home opener for 2011.
The nuclear company based in Tiverton has expanded its partnership with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) to include Toronto FC and BMO Field.
BMO Field — often described as “Canada’s National soccer pitch — is host to more than 30 events annually.
The municipally-owned stadium is operated by MLSE.
The move comes on the eve of Toronto FC’s home opener against the Portland Timber today, and will see Bruce Power signage displayed throughout the field.
Toronto FC routinely plays before sell-out crowds of over 20 thousand people.
In addition to stadium signage and other branding opportunities, Bruce Power and Toronto FC will sponsor the community program, “Kick with the Pros”.
The program will see Toronto FC players work with kids to develop their skills.

Since 2009 Bruce Power has been the electricity supplier of choice for the Air Canada Centre (ACC), home of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors.
Bruce Power President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne says soccer is the game of his youth and the game of the world, so he is excited that Bruce Power is now part of Toronto FC.
