An inquest has been called into the death of a man two years ago, on an Owen Sound construction site.
Doctor Bonita Porter, Deputy Chief Coroner for Inquests, says the inquest will probe the death of 48 year old Daniel Pelletier of Sarnia.
Pelletier died July 24th, 2007 from injuries he received while working outside a house on 4th avenue west in Owen Sound.
He fell about 3 metres into a concrete bottomed window well, and suffered critical head and neck injuries.
Pelletier was taken to Owen Sound hospital at the time and transferred to Toronto where he died.
An inquest is mandatory when a worker dies as a result of an accident at a construction project.
The inquest will be open on Tuesday, November 17th at Owen Sound city hall.
It is expected to last 3 days, hearing from 11 witnesses, and will examine the circumstances surrounding Pelletier’s death.
