There is a concert today in Owen Sound to raise money for those affected by the disasters in Japan.
Fiona Leonard and her daughter Jasmine run Stryker Entertainment and they have organized a coffee-house type Jam for Japan at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market.
Leonard says the people in Japan need help right away, and all of the proceeds are going to the Canadian Red Cross.
Leonard says the concert will be a relaxed setting, with local musicians and bands playing sets of a few songs each.
A Facebook group called “Emergency Fundraiser – Owen Sound Jam for Japan” has been created, and if you’re interested in playing the show you can get in touch through that web page.
On board already are acts like Brian Moniz, Beckon, Beaker, Trevor MacKenzie as well as Seed and Indian Solo.
The Jam for Japan runs from Noon until 6 PM today at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market.
