Saugeen Shores and Owen Sound are getting funding to improve highways.
The town of Saugeen Shores is getting 1.08 million dollars from the provincial government to help re-build Highway 21 in Southampton.
The work will take place from Craig Street to Turner Street.
Owen Sound is getting 1.3 million dollars to improve the intersection at 10th Street and 9th Avenue East — which connects to all four highways around the City.
City Council says upgrades are needed to deal with more traffic volume when the Regional Rec Centre is complete.
