It’s the anniversary of a tragic day in Huron County.
It was one year ago today that OPP Constable Vu Pham was shot near Winthrop and later died in hospital.
The 15-year veteran of the force pulled a vehicle over and exchanged gunfire with 70 year old Fred Preston — who also died later in hospital.
Pham was a married father of three boys, aged 12, 10 and seven.
He’s been posthumously awarded with the Ontario Medal for Police Bravery, along with several others from the OPP and the County.
