Three more Catholic schools in Grey Bruce will offer full day kindergarten in the fall.
The Bruce Grey Catholic School Board is expanding the full day program to St. Joseph’s School in Port Elgin, St. Peter and St. Paul’s School in Durham and Mother Teresa School in Walkerton.
Superintendent of Education Catherine Montreuil tells Bayshore Broadcasting News work is already underway to prepare for September’s newest students.
Montreuil says they are making minor renovations to classrooms and purchasing new equipment and furnishings.
She adds many parents are eager to welcome the full day kindergarten program to their schools.
To date the Catholic Board offers full day kindergarten programs in St. Basil’s School in Owen Sound, Hanover’s Holy Family School, Sacred Heart in Mildmay and Sacred Heart School in Teeswater.
