Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch is busy at work during his last session at Queen’s Park.
The Conservative MPP is talking about schools and coyotes at the Ontario legislature.
Murdoch returned to Queen’s Park Tuesday and called on the government to bring in a province wide coyote bounty to help protect livestock.
Murdoch claims rural Ontario is in a crisis and the bounty is the only solution to control coyotes.
Murdoch says he is now concerned coyotes will target small children because its food supply is running dry.
Murdoch’s proposal already has support from several farmers groups and municipalities — such as Kincardine and Chatsworth.
Murdoch also introduced his petition that calls on the Liberals to change the school accommodation review process and save rural schools.
Wayne Elder of Chesley delivered about 700 signed petitions to Murdoch and the MPP took it with him to Queen’s Park.
Murdoch says school closures in small communities have a much farther reaching impact than a closure in a major city, and that must be considered.
