We now have confirmation as to what happened at a residence on Saugeen First Nation.
A man barricaded himself inside a home for nine hours following a domestic dispute on Monday which forced South Bruce OPP to close a section of Highway 21 for most of the day.
The female victim left the home fearing for her life shortly after 11 AM on Monday — and when police arrived at the scene — the man did no cooperate with them.
At 8 PM, the man surrendered to police without incident.
South Bruce OPP used the assistance of the West Region Emergency Response Team, Tactical Rescue Unit, Canine Unit and West Region Negotiation Team to arrest the male.
The Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Unit is still investigating.
