The Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen Association is using the Family Day holiday to introduce young people to the wonderful world of outdoor recreation.
President Dave Leggatt says the BPSA clubhouse and fish hatchery will be open Monday for tours and youth activities such as archery clinics and woodworking demonstrations.
Leggatt says getting kids involved in outdoor activities is a great way to have fun and burn off energy.
He adds learning about preserving and protecting fish, wildlife and the environment is something everyone should get involved in.
Leggatt says the Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen Association gets involved in local conservation efforts where ever they can, such as emergency deer feeding, trail maintenance fish culture programs and more.
The event runs Monday from Noon until 2:30 PM at the BPSA Clubhouse, located at Bruce County Road 13 and North Acres Road between Wiarton and Oliphant.
