Grey County OPP are investigating a complaint from a Grey Highlands man that his dogs had been shot and left on the side of a road.
Police say the man was made aware that his two dogs were injured and laying on Concession Road 8 northwest of Maxwell.
The man took the injured dogs to a local veterinarian where they were treated.
It was there that it was confirmed the dogs had been hit in the legs by multiple shot gun pellets.
One of the dogs has died and the other may require amputations.
The incident happened Monday but the incident was not reported to police until Wednesday.
