There is another bank scam making the rounds.
South Bruce OPP received a call in the last week from a Kincardine resident.
They received a letter to advise they could claim $325.31, but first had to make an electronic claim with the Bank of Canada.
The recipient became suspicious and called police, and found out it was a hoax.
South Bruce OPP remind you to watch out for unsolicited letters, emails, faxes or phone calls suggesting you could claim money.
And they say fraudsters are now using the name of a legitimate company or organization to deceive you.
If you have any suspicion about a chance to get free money, chances are it’s too good to be true.
