A journalist with a knack for investigating the shadier side of sport is coming to Southampton.
Declan Hill worked on CBC-TV’s The Fifth Estate for many years and investigated the alleged involvement of the Russian mafia in the NHL.
That investigation led to his Phd studies and the book “The Fix: Soccer and Organized Crime.”
Hill will be in Southampton tonight at 7:30 PM at the Top Flyte Lounge at the Phoenix in Southampton, where he will be reading from the book.
The reading is sponsored by the Friends of Saugeen Shores.
