Saugeen Shores Mayor Mike Smith wants representatives of Westario to visit council in the future.
During preliminary budget discussions — it was learned that the dividend payment to the town was down.
Smith says Westario should be at council explaining why the dividend has decreased on the town’s investment.
He says it would assist the newly-elected councillors to be brought up to speed on the Westario connection with the municipality.
Mayor Smith says one of the biggest investments in the community is the financial investment in Westario.
He says the company has made some pretty substantial investments throughout the area in the past year but it comes down to the bottom line where you want to maximize your dividends.
