No school closures on the horizon for the Bruce Grey Catholic District Board.
The Catholic Board has just undergone an enrolment capacity report and it shows none of its schools need an accommodation review.
However there are a few schools the Board will be monitoring closely.
Mildmay’s Sacred Heart School is the only school to fall under the 80 per cent school utilization rate over the next few years.
Chepstow’s Mary Immaculate and St. Peter & Paul in Durham as well as Walkerton’s Mother Teresa schools barely made the 80 per cent mark.
However those numbers are expected to rebound within a few years time.
Superintendent of Business Cathy Colton says the rest of their schools are either at capacity or will be close to full capacity over the next few years.
Colton believes they have been able to avoid an accommodation review because their schools are more spread out across Grey Bruce.
There are 13 Catholic schools spread out across Grey and Bruce Counties; almost every school is within a single separate school community.
