Victoria Park will be the subject of a public meeting today (Thurs.) in the council chambers at Owen Sound City Hall.
Councillor Jim McManaman, chair of the city’s recreation and parks advisory committee, says a Victoria Park master plan visioning session is set for 4 to 6 p.m today.
McManaman says user groups like the agricultural society, the snowmobile club, minor soccer, St. Mary’s High School and others will be invited to discuss the park and what they would like to see happen there.
The public is invited to participate and offer input.
McManaman says he fully expects the Coliseum and its fate to be a major discussion point at the meeting.
The city has said the facility will be demolished upon completion of the regional recreation centre unless someone steps forward with a business plan to operate it.
