Grey County OPP is getting almost 88 thousand dollars.
The funding comes from money forfeited as the proceeds and instruments of unlawful activity — and it will help pay for a soft interview room.
The room is the first of its kind in Grey County, complete with up to date videotaping and computer equipment.
Police say it will allow for a more comfortable environment so that victims and witnesses can feel at ease while being interviewed.
The OPP will also use 124 thousand dollars in forfeited money to train 100 Community Services Officers across Ontario in its Crime Prevention programs.
Another 140 thousand dollars will be used to train OPP officers on asset forfeiture and organized crime.
