A Community Satisfaction Survey is about to begin in what the OPP call the Western Region.
It asks for public opinion about the service the Ontario Provincial Police provide to the communities they serve.
The information they collect will be used to try to improve that service and your asked, if contacted, to take the time to provide them with important feedback.
This is a telephone survey that randomly selects members of the public 16 years of age or over, who live in the Western region.
You will be asked about such things as community security, perceptions of crime and youth issues, OPP community presence and a number of other issues as they relate to the Western Region.
Your information will be treated confidentially and the names, telephone numbers and addresses of those surveyed will not be included in results.
There will be another simultaneous province wide survey taking place at the same time, dealing with other OPP issues, but no one from Western Region will be contacted to respond to both surveys.
Once completed the results will be used in the OPP’s Business Plans and Annual Reports to help set goals and objectives to improve their service to Ontario communities.
The survey begins after February 1st, and will be completed by mid March.
