The search for a new President and CEO of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre is now underway.
Current President and CEO Paul Davies is retiring effective March 31st.
Back in November of 2011 — Davies first told Bayshore Broadcasting News he would be leaving his post after nine years at the helm of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre.
Communications Coordinator Meghan Legge says Promeus, a consulting firm with 35 years of search experience, will work with their search committee.
The Board says someone with previous history in a major health centre reconstruction project is a bonus, as they are currently dealing with the Kincardine Hospital expansion.
During his nine year tenure, Davies has been critical of a number of issues including mental health care in Bruce and Grey, which he says is lacking.
Davies says mental patients are not getting the type of treatment or attention they deserve and there’s is an extreme shortage of psychiatrists and beds in Bruce and Grey Counties.
Davies made almost 213 thousand dollars last year.
