An Owen Sound woman bit by a Rottweiler won’t have to get a painful rabies shot after all.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit says our story earlier this week was crucial in identifying the dogs owner.
The owner came forward and the Rottweiler is healthy.
However as a precaution, the Health Unit is putting the dog under confinement procedures for observation — but that’s nothing unusual.
The Health Unit puts every dog involved in a biting incident under observation regardless of vaccine status.
The incident happened behind the downtown TD Bank on Monday morning.
