The Tom Thomson Art Gallery is bringing six movies to Owen Sound for one weekend.
Manager of Public Programs David Huff says they’re excited to celebrate their 10th annual Reel Festival by moving it to a larger venue this year.
The festival will show six films — three each on Saturday and Sunday at the Roxy Theatre in downtown Owen Sound.
If you’re interested in seeing just one or two of the movies, you can also buy individual passes 20 minutes before each film starts.
All of the money raised goes back to the Art Gallery to help fund its programs for the year.
Huff says the festival is a great way to beat mid-winter boredom.
He says many people will gather with friends and go out for dinner or coffee and discuss the films they saw.
This year’s line up includes Le Havre (pronounced Harv), Take Shelter, Monsieur Lazhar, Cloudburst, Cafe De Flore, and Starbuck.
The films are shown at 10 AM, 1 PM and 4 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
