The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is looking into a complaint from a Durham woman.
The woman says her pet ferret died last Thursday after eating the seafood blend of Super Saver cat food.
The woman — who doesn’t want her name released — says she found mould in the box of food that she regularly serves to her ferret.
We contacted a store in Durham and staff have confirmed they have pulled the product from their shelves.
The company that makes the food in St. Mary’s — NUTRECO Canada — is looking into the issue.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has also been notified — but so far no recall has been issued.
