It cost almost 127 thousand dollars to cover the salaries and expenses of Brockton Council last year.
This is down six thousand dollars from 2010.
Before expenses — Brockton Councillors took home 110 thousand dollars — and travel, conference and other expenses made up the other 16 thousand.
Mayor David Inglis earned 28 thousand dollars — including expenses — but that doesn’t include the salary for Bruce County Council.
Deputy Mayor Rollie Anstett earned almost 18 thousand dollars with expenses.
Councillors averaged 16 thousand dollars including expenses.
But Mayor Inglis maintains taxpayers are getting good value for their dollar.
He says Brockton Council members are a hardworking lot that put in a lot of behind the scenes hours.
Inglis says the role of Councillor is both challenging and rewarding — but he admits there are some frustrations.
