Strap on your snowshoes and lace up your skates.
It’s time again for Winterama today, hosted by the area Rotary Clubs.
Eric Strain with the Rotary Club of Owen Sound says they will be at the Shallow Lake arena, where there will be public skating, snow shoeing, and cross-country skiing.
He says they will also have a pizza lunch at Noon.
Strain says everybody is encouraged to come out and participate today, and there’s still time to join.
He says pledge sheets are available at the Community Centre.
All of the proceeds raised through Winterama will go back into the Rotary Club’s programs and to the Outdoor Education Centre in Oliphant.
Strain adds if any other organizations with children’s programs want to take part, a portion of what they raise will be given back to them.
For example, he says local schools have signed on and created teams, and this has been really successful in the Saugeen Shores area.
Winterama runs from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday.
