The Owen Sound Marine & Rail Museum is celebrating Marine Month in February.
The museum will open a new art exhibit called “Inspirations: The Ship Models of Lloyd Litt.”
Litt was born in Owen Sound in 1930, and apprenticed at Wm. Kennedy & Sons foundry, where he became a pattern maker.
He made patterns for ship propellers and built many model ships and boats.
Litt was also interested in woodworking, and many of his houses, furniture, and crafts, that can still be found around Owen Sound.
The exhibit opens this Sunday at 1:30 PM.
