Canada Post has announced a new location for the Hanover Post Office.
The new site is the former LCBO store on 10th Street near 7th Avenue.
That is different from the original plan to move the post office to the Hanover Mall.
Communications Manager Tom Creech says the location is only a third of a kilometre from the downtown location.
The relocation is planned for the Spring.
Many residents were angered at the original plan to move the post office next to Food Basics, which would have been 1.4 kilometres from the current site.
The Hanover Post Office houses 16 employees and two contractors and provides mail services to over 48 hundred customers in the Hanover area.
Canada Post says the current office is no longer large enough for their work.
