A 68 year old Cape Croker resident has been charged with Careless Driving in connection with a three vehicle crash in Wiarton on Friday.
Bruce Peninsula OPP were called to the crash scene at the south end of the town on Highway 6 around 10:15 AM.
OPP say a minivan with two adults and an infant was stopped on the road, facing south, waiting to turn left into a parking lot.
The second vehicle that was following, slowed and was about to stop behind the van when it was struck in the rear by the third vehicle, an S.U.V., and propelled forward into the rear of the lead vehicle.
Fortunately, the minivan received only minor damage and its occupants were uninjured.
The infant was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The driver of the middle vehicle and the rear S.U.V. were taken to hospital by ambulance where they were treated for minor injuries.
The OPP say the Cape Croker resident is charged with Careless Driving, which carries a substantial monetary fine and six demerit points.
