The Owen Sound branch of Meridian Credit Union helped raise 170 thousand dollars for the United Way of Bruce Grey.
Branch Manager Adam Clark says since 2005, Meridian has donated over one million dollars through its’ annual United Way employee campaigns.
Clark says he is extremely proud that the local branch has exceeded the campaign goal and hit the million dollar milestone.
The money is raised thru employee payroll contributions, corporate donations and fundraising activities including silent auctions, bake sales and raffles.
Thru its corporate social responsibility program, the Good Neighbour Program, Meridian kick started its United Way employee campaign by making a corporate donation of 25 thousand dollars.
