The Hanover and District Hospital has a new radiologist.
Doctor Donald Taves replaces the recently retired Doctor Wayne Papoff.
Vice President of Patient Care Services Esther Millar says they were able to hire Doctor Taves through a partnership with London X-Ray Associates.
Doctor Taves will share his time between London and Hanover.
But Millar notes when he is in London — Doctor Taves will still be able to consult on x-rays and diagnostic imaging through digital technology.
Millar says the partnership also provides the Hanover Hospital with access to a number of specialists.
Millar feels this will provide the Hanover hospital with an advantage when dealing with questionable film or ultrasound.
Doctor Taves has experience in both urban and rural hospital settings.
