The sock drive at St. Mary’s high school in Owen Sound turned into a huge success.
The students were collecting socks for homeless people in Toronto.
Student Trustee Katie Walsh tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they collected about 550 pairs of socks in their first ever drive.
But that is not all.
Walsh says they also received many coats, hats and scarves — and those items will be donated to the Women’s Shelters in Bruce and Grey Counties.
