The Sydenham and District Optimist Club is getting $10,500 to complete the “Trees of Grey and Bruce Trail.”
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker announced the funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The money goes to the Arboretum Alliance, led by the Optimist Club.
The Alliance needs to finish a one kilometre section of the trail, which will include seven interpretive stations, educational signage, and benches.
The trail is in the Inglis Falls Arboretum at Inglis Falls Conservation Area in Owen Sound.
Walker says our natural environment in Grey and Bruce is a local treasure, and this helps make it available for all to enjoy.
