Job hunters should polish up their resumes for a job fair in Owen Sound.
The City’s Economic development and Tourism Department is hosting the “job fair” at the Bayshore Community Centre from 4 PM to 7 PM on January 3rd.
Manager Steve Furness says some 15 different manufacturers will be on hand, and they are looking to fill about 100 full time jobs — and up to 80 seasonal jobs.
Furness says the idea came out of a recent Economic development meeting, where he heard about some job openings in the area.
He decided to make some calls, and found a lot of interest in a job fair early in 2012.
The manufacturers who will be at the job fair next month include TC Transcontinental Printing, Tenneco, Cana-Vac, MacLean Engineering, Chapman’s Ice Cream, Krueger Customer steel, Kuhl Machine shop, Bellwyck Packaging, the Agency and others.
Anyone interested can submit a resume on-line at www.owensound.ca/jobfair
