Three people have been arrested on weapons and assault charges following an incident in downtown Owen Sound.
Police were called to the 800 block of 3rd avenue East around 2 AM saturday morning, on a report of a person being pepper sprayed.
Owen Sound police say an arguement developed between a group walking on the street, and several people in a van.
A woman in the van sprayed one of the people on the street, and then a man jumped out of the van — swinging a baseball bat.
No one was seriously hurt as the group of the street scattered.
The man who was pepper sprayed, was treated at the scene.
A short time later, another arguement developed a block two blocks away and police determined it was the same suspects from the earlier incident.
They recovered a baseball bat, and charged a 19 year old woman, and two men in their early 20’s with several weapons and assault charges.
