It’s official — Saugeen Shores now has a municipal Environmental Committee.
Council has confirmed the appointments of seven people to the committee — including two members of council.
Councillor Victoria Serda is one of those members and she hopes the first meeting is held sometime this month.
She says they will have to discuss what their vision is for the community and decide which projects to undertake in the short and long term.
Serda says they will develop project ideas to recommend to council.
As for ideas on what projects to undertake, Serda says she’s looking forward to first hearing what other committee members would like to bring forward.
Serda says her vision for the Environmental Committee depends on the suggestions and feedback she gets from the community.
Councillor Taun Frosst is also a member of the Environmental Committee.
